These grants are offered under our Research Board’s international strategy, in a bid to support and showcase the strengths of psychology in the UK.

Grants for individual oral or poster presentations provide up to £750 to contribute towards the costs of registration, travel and accommodation.

We are also offering grants for symposia, which provide up to £3,500 to contribute towards these costs for both the convenor of the symposium and participating panellists.

Applicants for both the individual and symposia grants must have confirmation of their submission’s acceptance by the ECP at the time of application.

Sarb Bajwa, Chief Executive of the BPS said:

“I am delighted that our Research Board has agreed to provide these grants, which will provide the opportunity to showcase on an international level some of the exciting and vital work which is being done by our membership.

“We were proud to host the European Semester of Psychology in 2019, and have built strong international connections as a result, which we hope to strengthen further at ECP 2019.”

ECP 2019 is being hosted in Moscow by the Russian Psychological Society and will focus on the theme ‘Psychology: creating the future together’.
